Bus Stop Improvement Request

In order to provide for passenger convenience, and to operate a safe and efficient transportation system, PARTA has established guidelines for bus stop improvement requests.  You may utilize this form to request changes in bus stop signs (including additions, deletions, or changes in location) or the request for a bus shelter addition or removal.

Your request will be investigated and a response will be provided by PARTA.

Please keep in mind that the following PARTA and FTA guidelines and standards when filling out the request form:

  • Automobile and pedestrian safety
  • Adequate spacing to allow efficient travel of buses
  • Transfer convenience
  • Existing curbs and sidewalks present
  • ADA accessibility of location
  • Number of passenger boarding for placement of shelter
  • Once PARTA has approved the shelter request, a cement pad must be poured at the property owner’s expense in advance of placement.  (Click here for sample bus shelter sizing)
