PARTA is now using Bio-based engine products
Bio-based solutions have replaced many of the additives lost with recent emission reductions in diesel fuel.
Portage Area Regional Transit Authority is taking advantage of Outstanding Lubricant Performance.
PARTA gained fuel efficiency as a result of using Bio-Power, a bio based fuel conditioner, to clean up the carbon deposit problems and many of the low sulfur issues on our 67 vehicle fleet. As a result PARTA could see over $50,000 in savings on fuel and maintenance costs this year. PARTA's exhaust emissions have also been significantly reduced resulting in a more friendly environment for our riders.
Bio-based fluids perform and protect your environment while extending the life of our equipment and reducing our dependency on foreign oil supplies. A renewable solution providing Americans jobs and America a more safe economic future. PARTA, to our knowledge, is the only transit property in the country using multiple bio-based solutions!

This would be more than just talking about, reducing dependency on foreign oil, creating a more clean and green environment, and creating jobs. This would be making it happen.
