Travel Training

Everyone knows someone who needs PARTA… but have you ever been interested in riding yourself?

We understand that riding a bus for the first time can be daunting – reading a schedule, finding your way home, or even figuring out how to purchase and use fare. That is why our Travel Training Program teaches how to:

  • Use PARTA fixed route and Dial-A-Ride services
  • Read schedules and plan and book a tripTravel Training Logo
  • Locate and transfer to other buses
  • Pay fares and purchase tickets and passes

Once you finish the course, we are offering a free 10-ride fixed route ticket to any individual over 6 years of age who successfully completes the travel training course. If you are unable to use the fixed route service and are trained on the Dial-A-Ride service, you will receive 2 free one-ride Dial-A-Ride tickets for customers who complete the training. (Our travel trainer will continue to work with passengers on multiple occasions, but riders are only eligible for the free pass upon the first-time completion of the course.)

If you are interested in learning how to ride the PARTA system, please contact Carlell Howard at 330-678-7745 x 119 or chowar22@partaonline.org.
